These Krispy Kreme donut cupcakes look so delicious. It’s the best of two worlds cupcakes and Krispy Kreme donuts. Winston-Salem, NC is where Krispy Kreme started and has its headquarters, so during law school Darcy and I indulged in a lot of Krispy Kreme donuts. So I dedicate these to you Darcy!!!!!

Why did we never think of this? But I wonder about the size, either those are really small donuts (a travesty!) or really large cupcakes (a miracle!). Last month I was in Winston for work and bought a mixed dozen, but it really wasn’t the same as they weren’t bought at 2 a.m. going through the drive thru. They also quit the free samples…what is this world coming to?
